This course will enable you to become more confident with your digital camera.
The course will take you through the process of taking photographs, loading them onto your computer and then a variety of editing techniques.
Saving and printing options will also be covered.
This is a fun course for learners of all ages and abilities.
Entry Level Certificate in Using IT
This course is designed for students with little or no prior knowledge of using a computer.
Students choose 3 out of 4 available units.

This course is assessed through individual assignments.
Computing for Fun
This course will help you learn or increase your knowledge of the computer and its different software applications.
You can choose to learn alitlle bit about each of the following packages:
- Word Processing
- Spreadsheets
- Desktop Publishing
- Internet
- E-mails
This is a fun course where learning is set at a relaxed pace. There is no formal assessment or testing.
ITQ
The ITQ is a nationally recognised qualification which reflects the standard of work a student is doing in their workplace.
Students choose from levels 1 - 3 depending on the level of their real work. They also choose their own options at each level.
This is a flexible qualification with attendance at workshops if required. Otherwise assessment takes place by an assessor carrying out observations in the workplace.
ECDL
ECDL is a recognised computer qualification to employers, around the world.
This is a comprehensive course with a wide range of programs covered.
This course is divided up into 8 separate modules and at the end of each module you are required to sit a test.
These modules consist of:

- Using the Computer and Managing Files
- Word Processing
- Spreadsheets
- Databases
- Presentation
- Information and Communication
- Privacy and Legal Requirements
e-Citizen
This course is suitable for those learners who would like to become more confident with using the Internet and sending e-mails.
You will learn how to access information on the Internet and how to purchase items safely. You will also learn how to communicate via e-mail and to attach and download pictures and other documents.
You will also receive a basic knowledge of word processing and learn how to create folders and file information effectively.
There will be an online test at the end of the course.
New CLAiT
This course is suitable for those who have completed a beginners course such as the Entry Level in IT.
This level 1 qualification has 1 mandatory unitand 2 optional units.

CLAiT Plus
This course is a Level 2 course which naturally follows on from the CLAiT course.
To achieve this qualification students need to complete the mandatory option and three optional units.

- Desktop Publishing
- Computer Art
- Web page Creation
- Electronic Communication
- Graphs and Charts
CLAiT Advanced
This is a Level 3 course which can be taken after successfully completing the Clait Plus course.
This course includes 1 mandatory unit which is called IT solutions and 2 optional units which are usually word processing and spreadsheets but this can be changed according to the needs of the learners.
These courses mean there will be something to suit everyone. It is designed to give you confidence in IT.
