Barge Painting
Barge Painting is the traditional art which originates from the inland waterways of Britain.
At Abbotsmead you can learn the techniques of this traditional way of painting.
You do not have to own a barge for this course! You can paint on a variety of surfaces. Aluminium pots and cans, wooden spoons, boxes, trays and many other items.
No experience is needed for this course, just enthusiasm.
Card Making
We have two types of courses on card making.
These are:
- Handmade Cards
- Computer designed cards.
Handmade cards experiment with different techniques such as , embossing, stamping, teabag folding.
The computer designed cards are created using Desktop Publishing. Pictures can be used from the Internet or to personalise your cards photographs can be taken and then used.
This course will be both useful and fun!
